Could Never Happen In America

September 12, 2016 | Gunner Steele

One of the dumbest things that Americans say is that certain things could "never" happen in America. Americans say this all the time. If you're honest, you'll have to admit that you've probably said it a time or two.
  • Loss of free speech? That could never happen in America.
  • Sharia law? That could never happen in America.
  • Communism taking over? That could never happen in America.
  • Complete loss of power and infrastructure? That could never happen in America.
  • Dominance of atheism? That could never happen in America.
  • Preachers being jailed for preaching the gospel? That could never happen in America.
  • Innocent people going to jail for resisting government tyranny? That could never happen in America.
The list goes on and on and on.

But the point here is simple—while I do believe America is special, America is not exempt from Natural Law. It rains on the just and the unjust and gravity affects everyone all the same—whether you believe in it or not. So, what that means is that America is not exempt. Anything mentioned above, and even worse, could happen here in America.

America can't escape no matter how special she is. And it is basically as simple as this—if Americans do nothing, we will be subject to all manner of evil and tyranny. If Americans proactively promote freedom and free markets, we will enjoy prosperity and peace. We get to choose.

For example, what do you think about the war on cash? Is it possible that America moves to a cashless society? And that the Fed turns to negative interest rates? So that you'll be FORCED to put your money in a bank, and you will be forced to LOSE MONEY no matter what you do.

I know, I know. Negative interest rates? That could never happen in America! Right? Well, Janet Yellen, the Chair of the Fed has already stated that it could come to America. They already have it in Europe and Japan. So, don't think its not possible. Remember, in America we've already:
  • Put people in jail for things that they have said (loss of freedom of speech).
  • Forced people to act against their own conscience or face penalties and fines.
  • Forced doctors to act against their own faith (loss of freedom of religion).
  • Elected a socialist. Not once, but twice.
  • Implemented nearly all 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto.
I could go on and on. You get it, right? So is it really that hard to believe that we could move to a cashless society with negative interest rates? Its not only possible, but it's highly probable.

That is, unless, you and I do something to stop it. You see, our fate is not sealed. We can make a difference for our future. The question we have to ask ourselves, is this—do we truly believe in FREEDOM?

And when I say "believe," I don't mean mental assent or conscious agreement. You know, that's the kind of faith a lot of "believers" have. They just believe that God exists. That's it. But it doesn't cause any action in their lives.

If you really believe in something, then you work actively for it. So if you believe in FREEDOM, what are you doing to either possess it or to preserve it? That is the question we must ask ourselves. And that is the question I want you to think about between now and next Monday—where I will share some ideas on what everyone can do to both possess and preserve the FREEDOM that we hold so dear.
