If you're familiar with the dystopian novel, 1984 by George Orwell, then you know that he wrote about something he called the "Ministry of Truth." The idea was that the government would create a department responsible for creating mass propaganda that solely existed to create false narratives in order to manipulate and control the people.

In short, the Ministry of Truth would do the exact opposite of what it was called—it would intentionally spread lies in order to control the population.

Recently, the Biden Administration came under fire for creating what appeared to be its own Ministry of Truth, that it called the Disinformation Governance Board. It sounds straight out of the fictional writings of Orwell, but it's real.

However, the Biden Administration was quick to dismiss the accusation. In fact, on May 1st, 2022, the head of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, told the news media that the Board would be focused on disinformation “from foreign state adversaries [and] the cartels” and would not monitor American citizens. And at the White House on May 2, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki claimed that the Board would be focused on “human traffickers and other transnational criminal organizations.”

Well, as you probably already guessed, Mayorkas and Psaki just FLAT OUT LIED! New documents provided by heroic whistleblowers provided to U.S. Senators Josh Hawley and Chuck Grassley demonstrate that:

• The Disinformation Governance Board was originally conceived in part to monitor domestic speech regarding “conspiracy theories about the validity and security of elections” and “disinformation related to the origins and effects of COVID-19 vaccines or the efficacy of masks.”
• DHS planned for a partnership with Twitter to suppress disfavored content and planned a meeting with Twitter executives exploring the concept.
• The Disinformation Governance Board charter was drafted in January 2022 and personally signed by Secretary Mayorkas on February 24, 2022. The document states that the charter goes into effect immediately upon the Secretary’s signing of the document.
• Despite the Secretary’s assertion that the Board had not yet begun its work, a planned meeting with social media executives appears to have been staffed by Nina Jankowicz (who has a history of lying).
• DHS officials appear to have prepared legislation to codify a “Rumor Control Program of the Department of Homeland Security to Counter Misinformation, Disinformation, and Malinformation,” including a public-facing website known as “Rumor Control.”

How about that? More lying government officials who are presiding over departments that violate the 4th amendment and other federal and state privacy laws and the foundational operational principles of our nation's founding. Do you think anything will happen to these lying piles of horse manure, particularly Secretary Mayorkas who testified falsely under oath? Of course not.

Now think about what this means in the real world…

Your federal government, that you subsidize with your taxes, is and was actively involved in spreading false propaganda regarding election fraud, COVID vaccines, and the use of facemasks. And, the government was and is working with ubiquitous "private" companies like Twitter to ensure maximum dissemination of this false information. This means we have proof that the government worked to actively remove information that was true and spread information that was false.

You simply can't trust anything the government tells you. Period. And you must assume that any major narrative the government supports is being created to manipulate and control you.
