Trumps Conviction Demonstrates the Control Mass Media has Over American Minds

June 3rd, 2024 | by Gunner Steele

Everybody is talking about Trump's conviction but shockingly FEW, if any, are talking about what the actual charges were against him and what it means that such charges could actually be used against an American citizen, let alone the former President of the country!

The shocking thing about this trial is that even though nearly every American has an opinion about it, 99% of Americans have no idea what it is about. Do you know? If I asked you, what did Trump get convicted for? Would you actually know?

Even "informed people" on the right still think that Trump was convicted for something having to do with election fraud or for paying "hush money" to Stormy Daniels (the adult film star who alleges do have had a sexual encounter with Trump). Others say it was for fraud or for lying about something.

But in the end, nobody seems to know. I mean, this is basically the biggest court case of the decade and one of the most important public convictions in recent American history and yet nobody even knows what it's for. I find that remarkably concerning.

If we can have a story this big, this widespread, and this pervasive in the American consciousness while nobody even knows what it's for—that is seriously concerning and it demonstrates the IRON GRIP that mass media (aka "legacy media" or corporate media) still has over the minds and information of the American people.

Because they have done such an amazing job of concealing the true nature of this case, that nobody even knows what it's about. And truly, if you knew what it was about, you would be even more infuriated than you already are. So let me break it down for you as simply and quickly as possible…

First of all, you must know that the charges against Trump have nothing to do with:
1. Election fraud.
2. "Hush money" payments.
3. Having a sexual encounter with an adult film star.

Even if we were to assume the worst about Trump and we assumed that he did "have sex with that woman" and that he did pay her $130,000 to not speak about their encounter, you still must realize that those things are not illegal. They are not illegal in any state in this country.

You might believe that an adulterous "affair" or the committing of fornication with a "porn star" is immoral, and I would agree with that. But, it is not illegal and we don't put people in jail for committing adultery.

You might also believe that it is inappropriate to pay someone "hush money" to keep quiet about their private encounters with you, but whether it is appropriate or not, it's still not illegal. We don't put people in jail for receiving payments for NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) or for engaging in private contracts where they agree not to speak about something they are privy to. That is plainly not illegal anywhere and it should not be.

So the point is that even if Trump did the things he is accused of doing by Stormy Daniels, those things are not illegal. And the charges against Trump still have NOTHING TO DO WITH his alleged tryst or with the payment of the so called "hush money." The reason those two things have been front and center in the news is because they are salacious and the mere discussion of them tend to make Trump look bad.

But if the focus of the news was on the actual CHARGES against Trump, then it would make the prosecutors look bad and would make our legal system look like a pathetic third world joke, worse than a corrupt kangaroo court!

Alvin Bragg, the corrupt prosecutor who brought these false charges against President Trump.

Because the actual charges against Trump are all related to the crime of "falsification of business records." Now, these charges are unique to the State of New York as I could not find them in any other state in the country.

But in the state of New York, you can commit a felony which is called "Falsification of Business records" by doing any of the following four things:

A person is guilty of falsifying business records in the second degree
when, with intent to defraud, he:
§ 175.05 Falsifying business records in the second degree.

1. Makes or causes a false entry in the business records of an enterprise; or

2. Alters, erases, obliterates, deletes, removes or destroys a true entry in the business records of an enterprise; or

3. Omits to make a true entry in the business records of an enterprise in violation of a duty to do so which he knows to be imposed upon him by law or by the nature of his position; or

4. Prevents the making of a true entry or causes the omission thereof in the business records of an enterprise.

Falsifying business records in the second degree is a class A misdemeanor.
Now this is a really interesting law because it literally means that if you delete an email at work, you are guilty of the crime in New York of "falsification of business records" because you "deleted, removed or destroyed a true entry in the business records of an enterprise." The ways you can break this law are so broad and vague that literally anybody and everybody who has a job and works with a computer in any company in New York has broken this law at some point of time. Literally just by deleting an email.

So then why does this law even exist? It is pretty evident that this law exists to allow prosecutors in New York the opportunity to attack and prosecute anybody they want at anytime, for any reason. Just like corrupt prosecutor, Alvin Bragg.

Now, in the case of Trump, the so called "reason" they have prosecuted President Trump is because the $130,000 so-called "hush money" payment that was made to Stormy Daniels (the adult film actress) was classified as a "legal expense" instead of a "personal expense" in the Trump organizations accounting ledgers. That's it.

That's the charge against Donald Trump. That he "authorized" (he did not do it himself and no one claims that he did), the misclassification of a payment that was made by one or several of the organizations that he controls. That is it. That's the charge.

Did you know that?

Because according to New York State law, classifying personal expenses in error on your business records as business expenses or legal expenses or otherwise, is illegal and it is considered "falsification of business records."

Now the prosecutors in this case have gone further to try to make Trump guilty of a felony by invoking the next section of the law which escalates the misdemeanor crime of falsification of business records to a felony by the following:
§ 175.10 Falsifying business records in the first degree.

A person is guilty of falsifying business records in the first degree when he commits the crime of falsifying business records in the second degree, and when his intent to defraud includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.

Falsifying business records in the first degree is a class E felony.
So they have alleged that Trump knew what he was doing and did so to hide other crimes (which allegedly were the crimes of donating too much money to a political candidate which is the crime that Michael Cohen went to jail for).

So that's it. Now you know. Let me give you a quick summary:

1. Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, paid $130,000 to adult actress Stormy Daniels to keep silent about her alleged sexual encounter with Donald Trump.

2. Donald Trump had the $130,000 reimbursed to Michael Cohen.

3. Trump's accountants marked the $130,000 reimbursement payments as "legal expenses" when, according to New York prosecutors, they should have been classified as "personal expenses."

That's it, friends. Trump is guilty of 34 charges of "falsifying business records" because he authorized the misclassification of accounting categories for reimbursement payments.

Now, I know what you're thinking…well then isn't this tax fraud? Because yeah, you would think that accounting issues based on misclassified business records are a tax issue, right? I mean, in the other 49 states, the only business records that any business is required to maintain are financial records for the purpose of paying taxes. And if you're audited, and it turns out that you misclassified expenses, you simply get your taxes adjusted, and you have to pay a fine with penalties and interest and then you go on with your life.

So even if this was a tax issue with the IRS, the worst thing that could have happened to Trump is that he would have paid a fine to the IRS and/or to the New York state Department of Taxation.

But no. Now he faces jail-time. And he has wasted so much time and energy being distracted from the campaign trail. And we can go on and on about how horrific this has been.

And ask yourself the question—all of this for allegedly misclassifying expenses? Where does that leave the rest of us? If this was an issue of classifying business expenses, then why weren't Trump's accountants charged? And how in the world does a law like this even exist?

But the point that I want to make in this article is the fact that REGARDLESS of how pervasive, prevalent, and prominent the news about this case has been—HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT NOBODY EVEN KNOWS WHAT THE CHARGES WERE?

I hope it gives you a healthy respect for the power of propaganda in this country. If you personally did not know what the actual charges against Trump were—then beware! It means that you are not exempt from legacy media's grip on your own mind. And you have to be very careful about what you believe and why you believe it.

Be honest and let me know in the comments below if you actually knew what the charges in this trial were before you read this article…
